Questions & Answers

1. How do I make a purchase?

Using the secure PayPal Shopping Cart integrated to this website, your purchases are fast, easy and secure.

See something you want to buy? Just click the button next to the item you wish to buy and it is added to the Shopping Cart for you.

It does this by momentarily popping up an additional window, in which your intended purchase is listed. Before the contents of that window (and any shopping cart window on this site) are displayed, you may  see a popup warning window like this --

PayPal Security Warning

Click Yes. This is caused buy the nonsecure Floartguyana logo on the Shopping Cart page to be displayed. The transaction itself is secure as indicated by the Secure transaction indicator on the Shopping Cart Page.

After the Shopping Cart's contents are shown, make sure that you are satisfied with the title, quantity and price.

At this point you can either "Checkout" or "Continue Shopping".

If you decide to Checkout, you will be taken to subsequent screens where you will complete the purchase.

If you want to Continue Shopping, you are returned to the Gallery Page, where you can continue to Add to the Cart, until you are ready to Checkout.

2. What is a giclée?

A giclée, commonly pronounced "zhee-clay," is the use of the ink-jet printing process for making fine art large format digital images.

The term, sometimes anglicized as giclee, is used to describe any high-resolution, large-format ink-jet printer output with fade-resistant dye- or pigment-based inks. It is common for these printers to use between six and twelve colour inks. The use of dye-based inks requires special coating to avoid fading.

Though originally intended for proofing, ink-jet printers are used by many artists as an alternative to lithography, serigraphy or serilith for limited edition original prints or reproductions.

3. What do the sizes mean?

The sizes are shown in inches as width x height, and are the dimensions of the artwork exclusive of mat or frames.
